Just released from Sizzix, this is a fresh new look for the Big Shot! The beloved machine is now a beautiful mix of baby blue and teal hues with the logo brightly featured in the center. Rest assured, the new color did not change any of the quality or versatility you have come to expect with the original machine. Included with the Big Shot are a pair of Standard Cutting Pads and the adjustable Extended Multipurpose Platform, which makes all Sizzix components thinner than a Bigz Die compatible with the Big Shot Machine and even works with other brands' dies and embossing tools! The diagrams on the Extended Multipurpose Platform offer easy guidelines about how to make the perfect Sizzix sandwich. This machine will work with ALL Sizzix dies (excluding only Bigz Pro Dies). This roller machine is a must-have for scrapbookers because it does everything! Cut, emboss, create in bulk batches and design cards, invitations, home decor, scrapbook elements, altered art, quilting and so much more! To ensure compatibility, always check machine/accessory requirement instructions before beginning. The Big Shot Machine measures approximately 14 1/4" x 12 3/8" x 6 5/8". This exclusive kit includes the following:
  • One Big Shot die cutting machine
  • One Magnetic Platform for Wafer-Thin Dies. For perfect registration, the Sizzix Magnetic Platform uses high-grade magnets to hold Thinlits, Framelits and other chemically-etched, wafer-thin dies securely in place during cutting. Made of durable plastic materials that will last for years of use.
  • One Thinlits Ornate Labels Die Set. Thinlits create dazzling detailed shapes for more creative cardmaking and papercrafting projects. These wafer-thin chemical-etched die sets are designed to cut, emboss or stencil a single sheet of cardstock, paper, metallic foil or vellum. They are simple to use, compact and portable for cutting at home or on the go. Use them for enhanced intricacy and to add a special touch of inspiration to all your projects. This Thinlits 3-Die Set showcases the friendly style of Ellison die artist Jen Long. Simply download a free TalkingTag smart phone app, scan the label and record up to a minute of audio. If you need to re-record, you can prior to confirming the recording. Measuring 1" x 1", each white matte label with black print is backed with permanent adhesive. Peel off the backing and press the label into place.

      Excellent!!!

      I'll admit it. I got this for ONE reason - Texturz. That's it. All. Period.

      Now I'm kicking myself for NOT grabbing one sooner. Y'know those Original Sizzix dies? The ones that will do CHIPBOARD, if you press hard enough?

      Yeah. Roll. Smoosh. No effort. CUT!

      AND, then there's the Texturz...I love love love them. Nice BIG embossing area. Great, crisp impressions. My new favorite thing!

      Love It!

      I am a big sizzix fan, most of all I truly adore that I can cut such thick materials and this one carries on that & more - my felt and fabric cuts are so smooth! The bigz dies they have for these are so much fun to work with, and so big that your ideas almost have no end! Very great machine to have!

      Big Shot Really Cuts Fabric

      I like the flexibility of this product as we have been looking for something that would cut felt shapes and die cuts. this makes a nice clean cut in felt, card stock and scrapbook paper.

      I wish the instructions were clearer and more comprehensive, though. This would be my only recommendation.

      Love Love Love it

      Have been wanting a die cut machine for a long long time. Chose the Big Shot after lots of reading. I chose this one for its versatility and the deciding factor was it was not electronic. For me scrapping is relaxing and a chance for me to get unplugged so to speak. I spend alot of time on the computer due to my Business and really did not want it to have be a part of my scrapping. LOVE LOVE this machine I am having so much fun..;-) Also the bundle was a great deal.

      An almost perfect machine

      Beautiful design, easy to use, sturdy... almost perfect! The Big Shot saves me so much time. I love making felt and leather brooches and it used to take me hours to draw and cut dozens of circles, ovals and other shapes... Now I'm done in a blink. The only thing that saddens me is that you can't design/make your own dies. Maybe in the future?

      More sturdy than original Big Shot

      Don't be fooled by the colors of this machine. It is not the Big Shot Plus. I ordered this machine by mistake and have since returned it because I meant to get the Big Shot Plus which has a bigger platform. However, upon inspection of this machine I noticed that is seems to be built out of sturdier material and the hand crank is made of metal. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't yet have a BigKick or BigShot machine.

      Very Satisfied...

      Very satisfied with this product. I have another brand before this one and found it just didn't cut other dies well from other companies so as a result I became frustrated. Did my research and decided on this brand. Consider what your needs are and then decide on the brand that best suites it. So far this model has past all the test projects that I have attempted.

      sizzix big shot machine

      I have a cuttlebug machine that I have been using for a while. I didn't know much about the die cutting machines when I purchased the cuttlebug. I have been very happy with the cuttlebug. I work for a lady who has the big shot, and I love the way it cuts more detail. So when this special came up I went for it as a gift to me for Christmas. So far, I think I'm going to really be happy with it.

      Shipping from this company was awesome, as well as packaging. Very happy.

      Big Shot Machine

      This is my first experience with a die cut machine. It is great! I'm even able to use my Fiskars embossing plates in it. From what I have tried so far, the Big Shot seems very versatile.

      The best

      It took me quite awhile to decide what machine to go with for die cutting. The BigShot was the most recommended and for good reason I love it and it works with all types of dies!

      I am wanting to start using embossing and cutting for my cards. I'm trying to decide whether to purchase the Big Shot starters kit, or the Big Shot Thinlits Card making Die Kit.
      Is the machine the same in both? Can I just purchase the machine and get the other stuff as needed? And will the Thinlits dies work regardless?

        I would purchase the kit that comes with the most items. If the starter kit comes with a set of letters that is usually a good deal. The thinlit dies will work regardless.         Mine included everything in the photo, including the big die, the metal dies, a pack of 6 x 6 cardstock, the 2 plastic "sandwich plates" and the multifunctional platform.         Most machines will cut felt and foam, it depends on the dies you use, the chunky foam dies like what Tim Holtz has cut just about any material.         In addition to 2 cutting pads, the machine should also include a multi-purpose platform. The platform tells you how many parts of it should be open for different types of dies. I cut wafer thin dies with the platform completely closed. I think that I have to open the top "leaf" for embossing folders. Enjoy your big shot - I've gotten a lot of use from mine!
