This set of dies is a wonderful buy. There are not only 12 choices, but once paired up with the stamps, the choices multiply, and the coloring is so easy.
I really wanted the stamp and die set for a mixed media piece for my wall. I read the information carefully when purchasing the dies, as well as the (two sets of) stamps. I eventually made up my mind that the dies and stamps did come together as a set-- they should for $30 plus dollars!!
But sadly neither set of stamps arrived with the dies. Because the dies depend on the use of these stamps, I either was going to throw good money after bad and do nothing. Or, I was going to lay out even more money for the stamps. I did the latter, but oh so reluctantly.
I buy little of Tim Holtz's work because I believe it is significantly over-priced. There are many good artists that charge less than Holtz. There are times when I find his prices rather unbelievable. If I had realized how much these items really cost, I would not have bought them.
By the way, the products themselves are beautiful. Look elsewhere and you will find what you need at better prices.
I'd get these but only if I could get the stamps that go with and no-one at Scrapbook.com could/would tell me when that would be!!
Combined with the stamps, the dies do a great job in making the flowers look fabulous. Love the dies & stamps!
I have the stamps and the dies for these flowers no and I really do like them. Many wonderful arrangements ahead!
I've had the stamps for a long while and have made some beautiful cards. Now I would like to make some 3D style and these dies are perfect for doing that. I've tried fussy cutting and it takes forever so I was really happy to see these go on sale. Thanks Scrapbook.com for your quick service. Can't wait to be able to pick up again at your location to save on the postage.
Works very well with the similar stamp set so that you have guides to color your cut flowers.
This die set goes with both the large and small flower stamps. I like that the dies cut close to the flower edge. I do not like having a big white edge so I love the way these cut close. The stems are tricky to cut because they are so narrow. They seem to cut well so far. I tend to cut the stamped image and then one or two more blanks to glue to the back of the image to add thickness to the die cut.
Where are the stamps that go with the large framelit dies? I purchased the small stamps that go with the small dies but the site fails to tell us where the large stamps for the large framelits can be purchased.
Tim Holtz does tend to be overpriced.
Scrapbook needs to be clearer about availability of stamps necessary for the dies.
Thank you
This is a really nice mixed group of flowers and very useful. I had a little trouble painting the flower shapes but I have since discovered that there are matching stamp sets to give you the leaf shapes. Much easier, of course.
