"Leaf" your crafting worries behind when you're creating with the Cut Out Leaves Thinlits Die Set designed by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. The set includes 8 thin metal dies in shapes in unique patterned leaves. The dies range in size from .75" x 1.875" to 1.15" x 2.5".
These wafer-thin chemically-etched die sets are designed to cut, emboss or stencil a single sheet of cardstock, paper, metallic foil or vellum. They are simple to use, compact and portable for cutting at home or on-the-go. Thinlits dies are compatible with the BIGkick, Big Shot, and Vagabond machines (sold separately). To cut, the sandwich requires the use of a pair of Cutting Pads and the machine's included Platform; when using the Essentials Platform or Solo Platform & Shim, the Extended Adapter or Solo Adapter is required.

Wonderful leaf dies. These stylized leaves are great for cut in work, I like that they are individual leaf dies. This allows me to place them wherever on the page I want.
This die did not cut thru the paper well. Maybe not sharp enough? The small spaces did not cut through and I hat to use a scalpel blade to cut thru. Other dies of this type have worked well. Maybe I did something wrong. The paper was heavy card
Using these dies made making multiple thank you cards a breeze. Fresh design. I just added colorful designer paper behind the cuts and put a thank you on top. Voila! I'll be making sympathy cards with them next.
I love Leaves and other nature elements. These leaves are so beautiful and contemporary and bring out the creative side of me. A beautiful set.

I have tried to cut these on my Big Shot and they cut perfect except....the outline of the leaf does not cut. I end up with the cutout insides on a sheet of cardstock. No individual leaf. Is this supposed to be like this? Linda Sharpe

I also thought the leaves would cut out individually, but no they don't. There is no cutting edge on the outside of the leaves.

Yes this is how they are meant to cut, if you leave the die in place after you’ve run it through your die cutting machine( will fit in sidekick), you can use the die as an edge to cut around, that way you have a stand alone leaf.😊

As far as I can tell they should work ok. Each leaf is an individual die. One thing to note that I didn't realize when I bought them is that they don't actually cut out the leaf itself. It just cuts the internal pieces of a leaf. You cut out the internal pieces and are left with your background paper. I hope that makes sense.
