This four piece layering stencil set, Snowy Scene is designed by Jennifer Ogborn for Sizzix. This stencil set features a snowy scene with snow-covered mountains, a starry sky, and a crescent moon. These stencils are numbered to help with the correct order. These stencils are compatible with the Stencil and Stamp Tool (sold separately) from Sizzix. These reusable stencils can be used with your favorite inks, markers, paints, pastes, sprays, mists, and other crafting mediums (sold separately). These stencils can be used for cards, scrapbook pages, tags, journals, and other paper crafting projects. These stencils measure 6" x 6".
It's a beautiful scene but I'm having difficulty with blending the layers. I probably just need to work at it a bit more. The layers are very defined and the colors have to be very close in hue for it to look right.
I liked this scene right away but haven't used it yet (thus 4 stars instead of 5.) Reminds me of Portage Glacier and lake in Alaska which was amazing to see.
Also heard about it on NPR and how people skate on the frozen lake in winter.
So I'm going to stamp some people skating in the foreground.
Set contains 4 stencils.
But the very top of the scene, which is the blue behind the moon and stars. There is no stencil for that!!! A person has to manually has to mask the moon and stars to make the rest of the sky blue. Very frustrating

Hello! The Snowy Scene Stencil Set does not have to be used with the Sizzix Stencil and Stamp Tool. The tool just makes it much easier to keep everything lined up correctly as you add each layer.
