Tim Holtz definitely adds details to all his butterfly designs and this set designed for Sizzix is no exception. This die set includes 4 thin metal dies that range in size from 3" x 2.25" to 2.75" x 2.25". These dies are compatible with most leading die cutting machines (sold separately). These dies include 2 solid background dies and 2 etched dies for adding the detail. These dies can be used with plain cardstock, foils or vellums (sold separately). The Shaping Tool Kit contains 1 molding pad, one 2 mm/5 mm Stylus Tool, one 8 mm/10 mm Stylus Tool, and one pair of Reverse-Action Tweezers for adding extra dimension to the butterflies for placement on any home decor items.
I was surprised to find this was actually 4 dies. Each of the two designs makes an openwork butterfly with a matching solid shadow that will emboss to fit inside it's counterpart. Lots of possibilities with this one!

Comes with 4 dies one to cut out color the other to cut out the black, to make a monarch butterfly. The whole package was very reasonably priced at 15.99.

I love these butterflies & the possibilities are endless! I like that the top one can be used alone for a very delicate looking butterfly. My only regret is that I did not purchase these detailed butterflies sooner!:))

This is a great set if you want a background and detail cut separate. There are two sets of these butterflies one being slightly larger than the other but the same detail.
