There's only one official Purple Tape - and that's from Therm O Web! And you're going to love their new formula of fan-favorite Purple Tape. This roll is filled with 15 yards of pressure-sensitive, low tack craft tape. Although it may be less tacky to the touch, you’ll find once you apply the right pressure to the tape on your project, it will easily adhere to your craft or paper surface.
There won't be any adhesive residue left behind, and you won't have to worry about accidentally ripping or tearing your paper with this new formula of Purple Tape! Included in the package is one roll of removable tape that measures .5" x 15 yards. You'll love the new look and feel of this Purple Tape with its new lower tack.
NOTE: For holding down larger metal dies, Therm O Web recommends using the 1.5" version of Purple Tape found here.
This is supposed to be low tack but it is really no tack. It is really just like Washi tape with very little sticky on it. Does not hold dies on paper - which is why I bought it.
I normally love Purple Tape but they put on the stars and took away any tack what so ever. Complete waste of money and Scrapbook doesn't offer the normal Purple tape. I'll go back to Washi.
I finally tried this due to its popularity but I did not like it as much as using regular washy tape. It marked some of my printed paper. The tack is lower than regular washi tape but I normally put washi tape on my clothes first and that provides an even lower tech than this tape.
They changed the tackiness of this tape from the original. And now you can only use it once for die-cutting or to hold paper down. It completely loses tackiness after just one use. Bring back the real purple tape!
The new purple tape is a bear to work with. It does not stick very well. I have used purple tape to tape my dies down before cutting. The tape does not stick thus the die moves and is not held in place. It is not reusable like the old version. I was able to use that on two to three die cuts. I am very disappointed in the new purple tape.
just the right amount of tacky-ness that it doesnt tear up paper when you need to temporarily adhere something to paper or sensitive painted surfaces
