This 6.5" x 8.5" Grip Mat is from Waffle Flower Crafts. This grip mat is designed to hold your cardstock in place when stamping, stenciling, blending, adding embellishments, and more. This mat is made from high-quality photopolymer which is quite sticky, so no adhesives or glues are needed to make the mat sticky. You will no longer need to use tape on your cardstock either. This mat can be used in place of the black foam piece in the original size stamp positioning tool (sold separately). This mat has guides below and above the mat to help in placement when needed. If the mat becomes less sticky over time, simply wash it with mild soap and water. This mat does have a transparent sheet included which should be used when the mat is not in use.

NOTE: Low spots and air bubbles are normal and should not affect the mat's ability to grip. Avoid contact with foiled images. Avoid contact with sharp edges and abrasive materials. Some inks and pigments may stain your mat, but it will not interfere with the mat's ability to grip. This mat is made in the USA.

    Grip Mat

This mat is a game changer for. I put it in my misty and love, love, love it. I didn’t have good luck with the magnet and I would also forget to make sure to put the paper back in its original place.

Great tool be sure to wash regularly

These are not cheap, but they are nice. I particularly like it best to use in my Misti. Warning though, be sure to clean it regularly because it loses its tackiness fairly quick. I can’t get off some of my stuff on it even with scrubbing and I wouldn’t have had the issue if I were smart and cleaned it more often.

    Great product

I use this in my Misti. It replaces annoying magnets and sticky grids that wear out. I use my Misti for layering stamps, and I usually make bulk cards. I create a template for each layer. They need to stay in place throughout the layering process. That's not always possible with sticky grids. This product has eliminated my problems. I'm able to set up multiple templates anywhere on the stamping surface, making it possible to move from one layer to the next to complete the image. Love the Grip Mat!

Should have gotten The square one

It doesn’t work well in the Misti for stamping, has Low spots and doesn’t stamp evenly. It does work for stenciling, but the stencil must be considerably larger than your piece of cardstock for the stencil to grip.

  • A perfect mat for the misti

I replaced the foam pad in my Misti for this - it keeps my paper in place while crafting without having to worry about magnets. It holds stencils in place perfectly. I can't wait to use for holding die cuts while I color blend. Such a smart tool. A perfect addition to my stash.

  • Good mat, but test before using

This mat does a good job keeping cardstock from sliding around while stamping or stenciling. It pulled the coating off my Simon Hurley stencil though, which I did not expect to happen.

Love My Waffle Flower Grip Mat!

This is the third of these I have purchased and I couldn't be happier with it! It is versatile works like a miracle product! This replaces the need for magnets in your Misti and tape on stencils! Everything sticks to it just enough so that you don't need to worry about it moving but you also don't need to worry about it riooing your work.

    Im in love!

Omg, I’m in love with this product, it’s thin enough to go into my Tim Holtz platform w/o causing any disturbances and I actually think it helps make the stamp image clearer.

I love that I can put the guide on the bottom and continue to have a border which sticks to my glass mat (it doesn’t move w/grid on bottom). Card stock doesn’t move on top.

I have so many products to use to keep my cardstock still while I create on top of my cardstock none measure up until now; well “eureka” I have found it.

Questions & Answers
  • How do you put this in your Misti? Does it just slip in or do you have to install it 8n some way? Can you easily remove it? Can you still stamp using both red rubber and clear stamps with it in? Thank you   By: Scrapgirl1467 (04-Oct-23) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Take out the pad that came with your MISTI and stick the grip mat in its place. It will stick to the surface of your MISTI. Pick it up when done using it. Your stamp will still stick to the door of your MISTI and your paper will stick to the grid mat. Red rubber will be too thick, but clear stamps will work. • So you cannot remove the mat to use red rubber stamps, or you just shouldn’t leave it in when using red rubber stamps? I use a lot of red rubber in addition to clear so I want to know I can put this in and take it out. Thank you By: Scrapgirl1467 (06-Oct-23) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! When using my MISTI sticky mat for the first time, my card stock stuck to the mat so much I could not get it off without tearing the card stock. My Sweet Petunia sent me a message saying I was probably using the wrong card stock and had no solution for me. Do you know what I should do to prevent this from happening again. I purchased a lot of these mats at a stamp convention so returning them to My Sweet Petunia is not an option. I'm using an 80# and a 100# smooth card stock which I have been using for years. Thank you for whatever help you can give me.   By: User (26-Dec-23) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I had a couple things come to mind. First, when I remove my card stock from the Misti sticky mat, I bend the mat away from the card stock. This will give it a “peeling” effect. Second, if you have some “Undo” solution, you could use that to remove card stock & it won’t damage the card stock or the integrity of the sticky mat. Also, try to use only pressure needed on the sticky mat to make the card stock stick, just to prevent shifting. I hope these suggestions help.
