i am trying to makea felt board and i want to be able to hang it up using eyelets. So, at the top of the board I want to put two eyelets. I am using standard size felt, 4 peices thick and I want to put the eyelet on these 4 sheets of standard felt. So I have your machine the crop-a-dile that can punch a hole, I am using the 3/16 inch hole so I plan to use the 3/16" eyelet, however I am trying to figure out the length of the eyelet for me to use. I tried one that is 3/16 " long and it is too short, I am thinking around 5/16" of an inch would be better to keep it really tight. What lengths do you have? Thanks,
I would go to the sewing section of JoAnns Fabric or similar store and get grommets a grommet setter kit. I just made a tarp to hang outside on a patio using a kit like this. It was so easy to cut a hole and put the eyelet through the hole then set the piece with the teeth down onto the eyelet. The tool is easy to use and comes with instructions. It is a little more substantial than the one you have for paper projects. Hope this helps.
