I LOVE YOUR VINTAGE LAYOUT STYLE!!! I HAVE SOME OLD PHOTOS OF MY FAMILY WITH COMPLETELY DESTOYED BACKGROUNDS(DOTS,HOLES,ETC.THAT ARE BEYOND PHOTOSHOP REPAIR).
YOU GAVE ME AN IDEA OF HOW TO DISPLAY THE IMAGES WITHOUT RUINING THE STYLE OF THE PHOTO AND TO ADD THE ACCESSORIES THAT REVEAL MORE INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT WAS IN STYLE THOSE DAYS,OUR ANCESTORS LIFETIME(CAMEOS,LACE,ETC.)
Oh wow that photo just pops with the way you fussy cut it and layered it on top of all those lucious layers! I love the trims and that fabulous fan! This looks amazing, and is so in my FAVS!
What a fantastic old photo to scrap Natalie!!!! You did such an amazing job with all the old embellies & texture!!! Love the fan, cameo & tassel!!!!!! GORGEOUS!!!!!
wonderful work using that great family photo! Love how the you were inspired by the collars! The use of the fan is perfect! I love all the fibers & textures! Tfs:)
wow! stunning! you really do amazing heritage pages!! love everything about it! the lace, the fan, the twine, the silhoutted photo! so much detail! wonderful work!
Every single heritage page you design is exquisite....a treasure!!! I adore the vintage elements, especially the lace...and such a wonderful idea to include a fan in the background!!! LOVE the cut out effect of this photo! I look at a beautiful group of women in a family photo like this and think ...wow...how I'd love to learn about their lives and listen to their stories! Of course, it's a FAVE :)
I am sitting here admiring and taking everything in, from your equisite embllies to the amazing photo! I just love how you have cut the photo and placed the fan behind it...it really makes the photo pop!! Can't see any hack job...sometimes the cracks and imperfections can add to the charm of old photo's. I have so many less than perfect pics... I am presently doing a layout with a very damaged photo. This is just so beautiful...I could stare at it for ages!! Love it!!
Oh, Natalie! What a LOVELY job you've done on this LO using the Gabrielle Collection from Bo Bunny!!! Most of all, I ADORE the fan! What a wonderful idea this is....I'm swooning now...LOL....Everything you did to bring this photo to life is breathtaking! fave
OMG - you did not do a hack job - the photo is wonderful. and your entire lo is MARVELOUS - so full of wonderful details. I love how you always include lovely vintage pieces to your masterpieces. The fan is a GREAT idea.
Wll I can't tell you "did a hack job" on restoring the photo...it's wonderful and I love how you cut it out...and how you used the antique collar. This layout is gorgeous..love the fan too.
My paternal Great Grandmother seated in the middle, with her daughters. Seated from left bottom is daughter Emma, then standing, my Grandmother Parmelia, next to her Marie Louise, then Corine, and seated on the bottom right is Aurora. Taking my cues from the clothing, especially the beautifully intricate white blouses that the younger daughters were wearing, I embellished this page with a small antique collar, bits of antique crocheted items, an old fan, silk velvet, cameo and old buttons. Although it is difficult to see, the two sisters who are seated are both holding fans. All of the women are wearing cameos or pins of some sort. One part of the photo was badly damaged so I tried to fix it, but I'm afraid I did a hack job doing it! This is an entry for the February heritage challenge.
