Bio:
I'm a forty-something mom of 2 beautiful kids, wife to a loving husband, and avid Girl Scout mom. I've been scrapbooking for about 8 years but only became passionately addicted a year and a half ago. I love this site! I've met a lot of really nice people and I've been truly inspired in my scrapping. I look forward to each new month to see what challenges there will be and I'm hosting my own challenges so I hope you'll join me for the Very Laid Back Challenge and the Heritage Challenge. My approach to scrapping is like my approach to most things. I don't have a lot of patience and I'm not really good at coming up with my own ideas, but I am good a mimicking and putting together ideas that I find. So, instead of racking my brain coming up with layout designs, almost all of my layouts are lifts. I keep a huge folder on my computer with over 500 layouts that I've saved from internet galleries and scanned in from magazines. Also, I think the 2 important things about scrapping are the photos and the stories that go with them. I don't often clutter up my layouts and I rarely do a layout with no journaling, only some portraits and the rare great shot that really has no story to go with it. Since I'm the family historian, I think it's really important to document what's going on in the photos. It'll give my grandchildren and maybe even their grandchildren a glimpse into our family life. And I know I would just about kill to see what my greatgrandparents' childhoods were like.
