Recreate your favorite memories at home. The Sizzix Vintage Village Bigz Die cuts through cardstock, chipboard, fabric, foam, magnets, leather, metallic foil, paper, and sandpaper. You'll appreciate the windows, chimney and rounded door of this vintage home. It works with the BIGkick, Big Shot, and Vagabond machines.
Using this die was a bit complicated but it helped to watch Tim Holtz's blog for cut out and assembly instructions. Most everything cut out nicely but a small piece of the foam from the die actually came out. I replaced it and stuck it down real well so it seems to be fine now.
Get it on sale because it's a bit pricey.
Love this die but also needed the other die to attach the snow cover for roof and also the window coverings.
Just not the same without having them both.
They are wonderful to work with and I recommend them to all.
I love everything Tim Holtz, and I bought myself the Vintage Village and Bell tower. Here in Texas it's supposed to get really cold tomorrow after a perfect day, today. Can't wait for chocolate raspberry coffee, and to make village houses to give to our Thanksgiving hosts this year. THe days last a long time, and the Christmas village creations was pure genius on Tim's part. I have used all sorts of templates and hand-cutting and papier mache creations. Now I get to make mine from start to finish. Thanks Tim. Love and joy to you this holiday season.
Love, love, love this. Saw the house on Pinterest, found the u tube video for the alterations die for the snow, icicles, and window frames, then found scrapbook.com to order immediately. I could not find a u tube video for the basic vintage house, but I ordered any ways.....also saw the video using corrugated paper for the siding which is the way I constructed mine.
Waiting for the "snow die"to be back in stock to order.

Love this little house it has so many possibilities, ideas in putting it together. I have made a plain one and used Washi tape to pit it together
Wonderful die. Cut one just for a sample. Makes absolutely the cutest house in the whole world. Very easy to put together. Tim has a great You Tube tutorial. I want to get some houses done now so I can get his townhouse die when it comes out later this year. Can't wait to put my village out this holiday season.
Thank goodness Scrapbook.com has Tim Holtz items that are being discontinued, managed to get it before its gone
LOVE all of Tim's dies and this one does not disappoint! I really like the fact that this is a base for a few other dies so you can alter it to make an entire village!
I haven't used it yet but I am sure I am going to love it!! 💜💜

Hello Lee. Yes, the base for the house is included in the die. It's a square piece that just fits together like a little box. You can attach the house to it or not, as you choose. This is a great die, and if I didn't have other things to do in my life, I would spend all day making little houses with it. My advise is, make the first one out of scrap cardstock so you can practice putting it together. It's not hard, but does take a bit of fiddling with to get the seams right. After you see how it fits together, you'll never have a problem. Good luck and have fun making little houses!

I have the big shot and you have to run the die thru and turn the die around and run thru the part that does not fit. I do not have the extended plates but it will work with the regular plates.

In one of the photos of the product it shows the size which is 4 1/2" x 3 5/8" x 3 1/4". Hope this helps!
