Easily and stylishly store your dies, embossing folders and cling stamps in the Tim Holtz Storage Envelopes from the Alterations Collection. Tried a few other ideas, but quickly found this was the best way to store die sets, not taking up too much room and (for me) portability was key because we live in two different places each year. I cut magnet sheets (designed for use to cover heat registers) to keep each piece in place and now of course you can buy them that way from Sizzix.
I truly love these envelopes! They are super sturdy and the back flap i secure. When packaging dies that have small its they do find a way out sometimes and you risk losing a piece but with a magnetic sheets you'll be good to go. I use Vent covers cut down to size!! Another plus is that these have a flap, not a snap button like some other Sizzix envelopes I've purchased with a die set so those become too bulky, these rest flat!
One negative is that these envelopes run about $2.30 per envelope, so a pack of 3 for almost $7, IMO they are a bit spendy.
These are made from a very thick plastic. They are a good size for holding dies and embossing folders. Unfortunately, the larger Sizzix 3D embossing folders are taller and do not fit. I was able to fold the flap over and make a new crease higher up by just carefully pinching the plastic - so now the bigger folders fit.
I decided to store my dies on magnetic sheets in a notebook (Tonic) so I could see everything easily (they get bunched up in the envelopes), so am not using these envelopes for dies. I do like them for embossing folders. I can set them in a box or basket, and easily file through and see the front of each folder to see what I have.
I love using these to store my Sizzix dies that do not come in an envelope. Very sturdy! I cut down magnetic sheets to insert into them & it keeps everything together!
I use these all the time and find them great and convenient.
I am so glad Sizzix makes the empties available! I like the fact that you can see thru them. They keep my dies organized...and "that's a good thing"! :-)
Great little envelopes keeps all your little dies together ! Great price ! and never have to wait long for it to be in my home and using it !!
I have ordered these envelopes before along with the larger ones. I love the convenience of them for storing my dies and stamps. The envelope keeps the dies all together and organized.
Wish there where more for the price thats why I rated 4 stars. But great to get organized.
I had dies in different sized packages and most were cellophane or paper. These are sturdy, easy to label , and keep all those small die pieces contained.
