My Vagabond has been working overtime making these in every shade of green to be added to cards, tags, and bag toppers! (Both the mini and the original sizes.) They're a delight to use and appreciated by all who receive.
Sadly I paid full price but this set met all my expectations. There are just some things that the Cameo and Circut just can't replicate and the fine intricacies of these dies are a prime example. I won a page contest using two of these dies. I'll be sure to tag the product once I do.
The dies arrived in a timely manner and as described. Can't wait to try them out on some Holiday cards.
These are lovely dies but not as sharp as I usually like. I found that I needed to use the metal plate for cutting intricate dies and a piece of cardstock for a shim, and it still took about six passes to cut through ordinary cardstock. It's fine if your just cutting a few, but I was was making 30 cards so this was time consuming having to go over and over it with My big shot. But the end result wasn't lovely. So I only recommend it to people with patience.
The cut on these dies is spot on. I know I'm going to get alot of use out of these as you are not just limited to using them for crafting holiday items. They would also be perfect for layouts or cards where you would want to use the pines for nature themes.
I used these die cuts with my new Spellbinders Platinum 50 die cutting machine. I had no problem cutting the shapes.The shapes are so nice that I used the positive shapes as well as the paper that the shapes were cut out from (the negative areas) to make greeting cards with.

Do I need a special sandwich to use with my big shot ??? I had to return similar last year bc refused to cut ! Thank you !

I use this die set with my Cuttlebug and it works just fine using the same sandwich as any other die. I would think it could be used with any die cutting machine, perhaps adding a shim to the sandwich? Good luck!

The Tim holtz Holiday Greens are thinlets. I read briefs online that the boutique only does embossing plates? However, it should work to cut with the thin dies. I just would recommend using a different thickness of platforms and not the embossing pads that come with it. You wouldn’t want to accidentally cut the embossing pad. Good luck, but it certainly seams worth the effort in trying.
