12x12 (Wide Format) Printers?

I had never heard of such a thing before, but apparently, they exist?!?! Does anyone on here have one? Do you have any recommendations?

As well, how does one design a 12x12 page on the computer? I wouldn't think that Microsoft Publisher, etc. would have a 12x12 layout option...

they do exist! My Mom has an Epson. They can be spendy though. One day I shall own one!

I have an Epson R1800 and love it. I don't digi, so I don't need to print scrapbook pages. But I do print all my own photos. And with this printer I have been able to print photos that were as big as my page.

I know you can create a custom page size in Word, but it's been forever and a day since I've used Publisher. I'm going to assume that you can create a custom page size in Publisher as well. Most people use a photo editing program, like Photoshop or even a digi scrapping program, to create their digi pages in before printing. I have an Epson 1400 which can print up to a 13x19 inch borderless print and I print a 12x12 on 13 x 19 inch paper.

I saw one in Staples for $219 I believe it was an Epson. I do hope to buy one in the future. I went to a convention and Jessica Sprague printed everyone out a page who stopped at her booth. It made me want one even more. I remember that these printers used to be around $400+ dollars.

I have a HP Officejet Pro K8600 and love it! I paid about $300 (canadian) for it. It prints up to 13" wide paper. I'm not a digi scrapper, but sometimes I like to print journaling directly onto my background paper. Also, if I want to use 12x12 paper to print journaling, I don't have to cut it down to 8x11, which is nice. I've also used it to print borders onto my background paper too. It's very handy to have!

I have the HP. I might use it if it were on my counter but it's so big, I have it stashed away. At least I didn't buy it!

I'd love to have a 12X12 printer. Where do you buy them? I've never seen them before, not even Best Buy. I'd love to be able to print out all of my layouts that I make. That way, I can give books as gifts & keep my own without having to do more than 1 page.

I got mine direct from Epson. If you go to their website, they usually have some great deals, too.
