Alcohol or water-based markers?

I know you use Memento ink to stamp an image if you're going to color it with alcohol-based markers; and Staz-On ink if you're going to color it with water-based markers. BUT, what if you're printing a cardstock image on your ink-jet printer? Do you color with alcohol-based or water-based markers?

I use my good Epson photo-printer, I use paper recommended for Alcohol markers, and color with copics and have never had a bleeding problem.

I don't have a fancy printer and try to stay away from coloring with markers if I print anything. I have used Copic markers as long as I stay away from the print lines. Otherwise I use colored pencils.

I print on water color paper and use water color pencils, Zig Clean Color pens or Spectrum Aqua pens. But I discovered that Crayola Super tips work well too.
