Be careful. I've had fading issues and discoloration issues. I don't use them on my pages any more, but I do on other crafts. And letter writing. I love writing notes and letters with Sharpies.
i love sharpies. but i really just want a cheap way to journal on my layouts. i dont do it often so there's no need in me spending a lot of $ on special pens.
Sharpies are not acid free and after years sometimes your will see yellow around where you ued them (many years though). Bic makes a marker that looks like a sharie and works like a sharpie that is acid free. They come in all the colors as well, are just as cheap and it will say acid free on the package. That being said, I know lots who use sharpies anyway.

I get the yellowing after two years, especially with the black ones.
I was so disappointed - I bought the white Sharpie "paint pens" as I thought they'd really be opaque and nice to work with. I don't like them at all. They're not opaque and just fade into the paper. Anyone else try them? Maybe I just don't have them shaken up enough?
i found some felt tip pens, by pentel that are acid free.. i want an ultra fine point and in all colors, the bic mark-it doesn't have ultra fine in various colors that i could find.
i just wish sharpies were acid free
oh well its about the Big Picture , not the small stuff..
I usually use the Micron Pen, as the Sharpie tends to bleed a little bit when I journal. I also cannot live without my signo uniball white gel pen. I just got one in gold and silver too.
