What size self-healing mat should I get?

I know I need one, and I found a 10" x 10" for a pretty good price....but is there any reason I need a larger one?

What do you use yours for? What size is it? Is that size sufficient?

I have the creative memories self healing mat. I think its dimensions are around 10.5x12.5

I really like it, but would probably prefer one that was at least 12x12, so I could fit my whole paper on it.

i have the creative memories one also (which is required for "old" border cutting)....i also have a larger one i bough at wal-mart. i ALWAYS have the larger one setting on my desk to avoid damaging my desk when using inks, glue etc....

I wish I had the 12.5 X 12.5. If you can get the bigger size, go for it.

Can't help you. I don't have one, and honestly have never felt the need for one.

I have the 24"x24" one from Making Memories and I LOVE IT! It was around $25 or so and I had to have it special ordered through my LSS. I like it because you can put 2 layouts side by side on it to work. In my opinion, it was well worth the money.

I have one that is 12x16 or so and I bought it in the quilting section at walmart. I speard it under my work also and find it handy for cutting out circles. If you're just setting eyelets and stuff you could get away with a small one.
