What do you use to attach chipboard?

I've started using more chipboard lately, but I'm having trouble getting it to lay flat and stick. Some of the bigger items are a little warped and don't stick nicely. I've tried glue sticks and then layed a heavy book on them, my tape runner did'nt seem to hold it, and Glue Dots just pull off layers of the chipboard and don't even attach to the chipboard itself. What do you use?

Also what is you favorite way to color the plain chipboard, do you paint it, ink it...what products do you use??

I use "Yes" Glue. It sticks almost anything to anything. It's sold at M's I don't know anywhere else that has it. Kind of expensive but my first bottle lasted me almost 4 years. I'm on my 3rd bottle.

i use Tacky Tape. That stuff is strong!

I think the reason your Glue Dots don't work, is maybe because your chipboard is layered. Try to remove the layer on the back before taping it to your paper. That way, the outer layer won't be able to rip off + torn chipboard sticks better than "flat ironed" ones.

I usually use double sided tape, or the refillable henkel glue runner (permanent cartridge)

I run mine through my Xyron - that works beautifully! As far as covering the plain chipboard. I've painted them, covered them with printed paper or cardstock.

I use Glue Dots without any problems. I smoosh the chipboard against the glue dot before I pull it off the backing so that it adheres. I also use glossy accents or Diamond Glaze (both liquid glues).

i use both Xyron and Tombow glue stick depending on the size of it.

Yes, you can use the 510 or 900. Works well.

I use this stuff I get at HL called tackyglue. It works great.

I use the KI Gloo, works great for buttons too!

I use the Tombow mono-multi glue. Works like a charm.

I like to use my Xyron as well. Ripping off the back of the chip is another great suggestion. What brand of chipboard are you using? I have never had this problem and wonder if it might just be the brand.

I use my regular acrylic paint to alter the chip.

I've been using Scotch quick dry adhesive, it seems to work well!!

this past Thursday I worked with chipboard (making the addressbook) and I used regular glue sticks and when I was working on another item the teachr told us to wrap the glued item in wax paper and sit on it... she calls this baking the glue, really it worked wonderful and there is no bubbles or anything so now when I am scrappin I can tell me husband I am also "baking" just my little helpful input

I use craft glue as long as I don't adhere it to a photo. I paint, ink, heat emboss and cover them with pattern paper.

I use my Xyron machines...

I just did a layout using chipboard numbers. I used adhesive foam tape to adhere them. I wanted them to pop off the page a little. They stuck just fine.

I have used my Xyron sticker maker and the Pioneer Embellishment Glue Stick.

i run mine through the Xyron as well!

I either use Glue Dots or if it's small enough, I'll run it through my Xyron 150.

I use Glue Dots , PVA (wet glue), or red line tape. With Glue Dots , try sticking it to the place where you want the chipboard and them sticking the chipboard to that instead of sticking the dot the chipboard. The same with red line tape--put some where you want the item and then stick the chipboard.

With PV or other wqet adhesives you can put it on the chipboard directly--don't put too much or it will get warped. Zip Dry glue or Beacon 3 in 1 work well also.

Depends on what I'm trying to attach it to but Glue Dots are usually first choice

I use my ZIG 2-way glue pen or mod podge.

I have been using chipboard also and have had a hard time deciding what to use. Well yesterday I used my tombw aqua liquid glue to adhere the pp to the naked chipboard and then used a glue stick to adhere the chipboard to the page. It worked pretty good.
Of course hearing everyone talk about their Xyron I think I want to buy one. I had one years ago and gave it to a teacher at preschool when I left because I didn't think I would use it anymore. Now I wish I still had that thing!!!

Glue Dots to attached and glimmer mist or Ranger Ink dabbers to paint the chipboard.
