Feb '08 Cynthia's Place

Hello all! I was wondering how everyone starts their family scrapbook albums? I need to start my 2008 and am at a blank. I don't want to do the same thing as last year. Last year I put some bright photo mats down in different directions and with cricut cut out "2007 McEwen Family Memories." This is for the very first page when you open the book and only have the right side to work on.
So what does everyone else do????

I opened a book with a synopsis of my intentions for the book. (It was being made for someone else.) Maybe something like, "The McEwen family is grateful for being happily blessed with a great 2007. We hope the following year will be just as exciting...blahblahblah."

I'm working on my FIRST scrapbook, which is actually for my family (including my DH and I all the way to great grandparents). (I haven't uploaded any pics yet).

For the first/title page I got a picture of my family (mom, grandparents and DH) and I just put one 5x7 photo up with a pink background and pinkish hued flowers. I love pink and flowers, and I kept it rather simple too.

Its one of the best photos we have of all of us together (immediate family).
