Can you make paper shiny?

I'm making a flag for a swap that I'm participating in, and I was wondering if there is anything I can do to make the paper shiny. I'm thinking there has to be some sort of glaze out there for paper. But i may just be delusional. So I'm wondering if anyone has hints or suggestions of products.

try glossy modge podge or Diamond Glaze

You could do powder embossing. They make it in a clear so that when it dries it is shiny.

The Diamond Glaze (Judikens) mentioned above is great--also known as Glossy Accents (Ranger. It makes stuff into 3-d acrylic like accents.

Also, if you just want shine, you can spray some clear coating (Like spray paint-- but clear.) It comes in matte and gloss just like paint finishes. yes, there anre many kinds made that are archivally safe--Krylon makes some that are maybe the easiest to find. Any large craft store or W-mart would have them.

yeah, I ended up going to the mod podge site. I only remembered the original from the old days of my youth.
