This layout is really cute Robyn! This is actually the first Halloween LO I've seen that I liked... My only suggestion is that everything seems to all flow together and fill just enough space through the layout and the over toward the bottom right there is just the spider with lots of open space around it. Kind of seems a little off balance... KWIN? Maybe bring some other elements a little close so its all more evenly distributed. The journaling being under the word ghouls might have helped.
I think it is adorable. My only suggestion would be to do something with the Like You. I don't know if it is the frame that is bothering me or that big flower. I actually think I would get rid of both and maybe use the frame somewhere else. You can still put a frame around the Like You but I think that one is to much.
LOVE that spider! even a little flower in its hair. too cute. i love "spooky" title.. it looks terrific. i agree with that flower. its just a little too big. maybe even try just putting ribbon through that button if you dont have a smaller flower for the page to match.
nice doodles. I think putting Halloween 1997 in the frame and moving Like You to each side of the spider's silk would be all I can see to change - maybe make Like You green...?
How cute is that spider? I like the title and the flower. I like the way you crisscross the ribbon, but I think the black one is breaking the page. May be you can try another green one-I don't know if it will look good. Also, how about a spider web - cut out of paper or just drawn around the spider.I also like the journaling around the photo and the ribbon through the letters.
Hi Robyn! I like that your spider is on a string. So darn cute. I like everything about your title. I think that looks fantastic. I also think you should move the black ribbon.
I do like journaling around the photo, but I think it would look better below "Ghouls".
I probably didn't give you any changeable advice, but advice that can be thought of when making future layouts.
I also think the large flower seems a little out of place on this one..Brenda made some great suggestions so I will just love on the spider with the flower in her hair, the ribbon and weaving it thru the "little" letters, all great!
This is more sweet than spooky. I recognize the Cricut font, and I love what you did with it--from the dark pp in "Spooky" to the more transparent, ghostly "Ghouls". I like all the colors you used and how you used stars on a black background and stars on a white background, sort of creating these negative and positive spaces throughout your page. I also like the green ribbon threaded through the "little" individual letters in "Little," and the interest that the green brings to the page, which is further supported by hints of green in the flowers of the upper left corner and towards the lower right corner on the spider (also cute treatment of the spider, btw). You seem to work well with the diagonal lines. I had to spend some time analyzing it to make suggestions and figure out what exactly I found a little (just a little) unsettling. I like the way the black ribbon looks with the green, but it interrupts the flow of "Little" and it slices your page. I'm not sure if this will work, but maybe the ribbon could go at the bottom of the page, use one rectangular Cricut slotted tag and write "Halloween 1997" on that. I know it may be too late to change, but the handwriting around the pic also seems to work against the flow of the rest of the text on your page. The big flower is a little overwhelming and summery and slightly out of place. I like the button, though. How about a smaller flower in the same vein as the rest on your page? All that said, in the end, I'm not hating the page the way it is.
