This LO is for Tammy's Travel Challenge - Challenge 2 Lost/Detoured and The Use Your Supplies Challenge Week 3 - Flowers. Hidden Journaling reads:We left home early Sat morning 16th April 2005 with the intention of driving till we got tired and finding somewhere
to stay overnight so that we wouldn't have a long drive
the next day up to Coolangatta. We had even booked
the car in for a complete service before we left to make
sure nothing would go wrong on the long trip.
The car had other ideas. About an hour out from Kempsey, halfway to our destination, the car started getting sluggish
and gradually slowed to a crawl. We limped into
Kempsey and Pete said he doubted the car was going
to make it to Coolangatta and we should stop. We booked
into a Motel/Caravan Park for the night. At the back of the
Park was the Macleay River so we took a stroll down to
stretch our legs after the long drive. That's when I took
the daylight pic of Kimberley. Later in the evening, I went
out to the car for something and that's when we went down again and I took these two beautiful sunset shots.
We were so upset at the thought of our holiday being ruined
by car trouble, yet now, Pete says if that hadn't happened
we wouldn't have got these great photo's.

The next day, we got up early again and decided to take
the risk and drove on to Coolangatta. It was the longest, most anxious road trip I have ever taken. Fortunately, the car made it and we drove it straight into Von Bibra Holden. They were very helpful and when we explained we were on holiday, they fixed it the same day. We were staying at the Ocean Plaza resort and we didn't have a car for that first day. Luckily the resort was in the middle of the main drag on top of a shopping centre and everything was at our disposal. Also, we were visiting Mum & Dad and they were happy to be our chauffeurs for the day since we were planning to spend the day with them anyhow.

This was the first of the troubles we encountered on this trip.
