This layout is part of my Africa series (must make album). It features two of my colleagues and life long friends from the international program. The setting is in Mozambique by the Indian Ocean....

Journaling reads:

We watched with curiosity as
Heidi grabbed the plastic chairs,
one by one, and brought them down
to the drawn edge of the seashore.
She brought a large table and carefully lay linen upon it.
Next came two bottles,
one of brandy and one of gin.

Knowing Heidi, she must of
brought a book too. Back and forth she went,
deliberately placing each item, as a bird with it’s nest.

When we inquired about this,
Heidi explained to us that this was her dream.
Inspired by a foreign movie, she had always wanted to sit at a table,
by the seashore,
alone and tranquil.

Jeanine volunteered as le garçon.
Donning a towel on her arm,
le garçon tugged at the table cloth, so that it was crisp and tight, wiped down Heidi’s glass, so that it was crystal clear,
and poured her first drink,
so that it was cool and full.

It was perfect.

Alas, Heidi was living her dream....

Techniques used:
-PS7
-gradient tool to extend sky and colors
-Linear Bum mode in layers for a transparent effect on B&W images plus eraser tool.
-Large image printed on 11.5X11.5 Epson archival scrapbook paper using the Epson 2200 printer (this printer is worth every penny...)

-Adjacent images and journaling
printed directly on scrapbook paper.

-Paper layout included antique glass beads and acrylic rhinestones.

Specular highlights added in PS7 since the copy didn't do the originals justice...

Thanks for looking....
