This is a picture of my grandpop and me in 1965.I had scrapped this page before, but that was about 3 years ago.I thought I'd try it again.Since there's not much room for journaling,I thought I might make a tag that slides behind the photo frame. It will read pretty much as I had written on the last.Which is-
My grandpop Fred was really my step grandpop, but he was more of a grandpop than anyone I knew.In the morning,he'd get me dressed,(notice my jumper on backwards),and make me pancakes. He'd usually burn them, but I didn't mind.Every morning we'd walk to the bank for a free cup of orange juice. There was a lady with a cart that would hand out free juice and coffe.(Banks used to do that back then.)Then we'd go to the A&P for a gumball. After that, grandpop would make us a lunch to take to the park. After we ate,we'd gather the pods from the mimosa trees, pop the seeds out and flick them off the concrete arms of the bench.Which just goes to show, that it really doesn't take that much to please a child. He never had more than a few cents in his pocket. He just gave of himself. He was such a dear, sweet, and patient man.He was a true grandpop, and I loved him very much.

The pps are Graphic 45 botanicabella collection.I used Prima "say it with crystals",Prima hydrangea blooms, and butterflies I got at Hobby Lobby.
This is a bit of a scraplift from gabriellep"s "explore"LO.I'm such a fan of her work!My thanks to Gabrielle!TFL!
