This photo is from my trip to Dallas a couple of weeks ago with my sister, my mom, and one of my mom's friends. We went to the Botanical Gardens - which were FABULOUS. One of the garden features are all these little houses, which were built up to resemble several of the great painters homes. This one was obviously Monet's home. There were even water lilies in the little pond under the bridge!

We had a really great time. It's the first time that my sister, my mom, and me have been together - just us girls - since Becky and I were WEE little. I'm one the right, Becky is on the left, and my mom is in the yellow hat. (Notice how I'm not carrying a purse or a billfold? See my train layout for the whole story!) Becky and I shared a room at our Bed and Breakfast, something we haven't done since we were in grade school. It was so fun to catch up and be real sisters again!

I created this layout as my sample for my April "Parts to Whole" Challenge. I figured if I was going to throw that kind of evil out there, I should probably get in the middle of it myself. It's a proportions challenge, and it's all about balance. If you add a little yellow, you have to add a little more brown and a little more blue.... And at SOME point, you have to stop.

It was a tough little challenge, no question about it, but I'm very happy with my project, so I'd have to say it was worth it!

Thanks for taking a peek!
