Journaling:
"You'll wonder where the yellow went, when you brush your teeth with Pepsodent." This was one of the catchiest jingles (songs) ever. This TV commercial is one of my first memories and it seems like the commercial ran for years. Of course
TV and the commercials were black and white back then. Television is a big part of any Baby Boomers life as it is now. Some of my favorite old black and white shows were Leave It To Beaver, Father Knows Best, The Donna Reed Show, I Love Lucy and Our Gang. We didn't get a color TV until my dad retired in 1967 and we moved back to his hometown, Lowry City, Missouri. Our first color TV was a big 23" console. Until then, we had a 19" portable black and white that sat in a metal stand with wheels on it. For years we watched The Lawrence Welk show, a musical variety show, on that TV every Saturday night. That Pepsodent commercial is a very good memory.
