Journaling: My younger brother, Joe, was the first one in our immediate family to enter the services, much to my mother's dismay. He was a favorite, and her baby boy, and she was not happy when he decided to join the Navy. This group of photos records his first homecoming. My mother could hardly contain her joy, and my usually reserved father was relieved to see his boy again.
