I didn't really like how the embossing powder turned out. I'd leave that off. I really liked MomOfSix's ideas about putting a solid carstock on the bottom. Or you could do the colored card stock through the middle of the card, ribbon with the "from our house to yours" over the Cardstock. Then keep the bulbs in the top left corner and add some to the bottom right corner.
Just some ideas. But this is coming from someone who hasn't even started her cards yet! HaHa!!!!
Maybe lower the bulbs just a bit (and strip with writing on it). Cut a strip of paper that is wavy shaped (like the string of the bulbs) and put your printing on that. I wouldn't add more bulbs.
Maybe add another color - solid colored cardstock across the bottom 1/3 of the card and straighten your ribbon FROM OUR HOME TO YOURS straight across the solid color at the bottom. I love the bulbs - if you have (make) more of them either angle them in the upper right corner too so both corners are decorated in bulbs or start over w/ more bulbs going straight across the top. I agree - your card is cute and I can't wait to see the finished masterpiece. Don't be so hard on yourself - I find myself comparing my work to others but always have to remember this is my creativity and there is no "wrong" way. and by the way ....Happy Holidays!
I agree. Maybe one or two more bulbs in the bottom right corner! I want to make my cards this year also but i have never made any so i am thinking of trying it. Can't wait to see your finished card!!
I need help on this one! This is the first time Ive tried to make a Christmas card. It is just a prototype. I used paper and chalk inplace of a ribbon because I wasnt sure what color I wanted. I chalked it red but dont like it at all. I have TONS of that vellum in green thats why I chose to try it out. I used a clear embossing powder on the light bulbs to give them a shine. Im not set on any one part of the card but I look at everyones in the gallery and mine just looks so plain. :( ANY help or advice will be wonderful thanks alot all
