My DGD, Helen Grace, spent the day with us recently, and she wanted me to "take some pictures of her in her new dress". The papers are Creative Imaginations. The stars are hand drawn and cut from cardstock then coated with stickles (wish that sparkly looks showed up better) The "sign" is a design I cut with the Silhouette - I just added longer "legs" to the signpost and put them on with mini brads that look like screws. The grass is also cut with the Silhouette. Scalloped edges were punched with the Fiskars threading water punch as were the edges of the photo corners. Added a little doodling to the scalloped edges and the sign. Added stickles and bling to the sign. Journaling is tucked behind the photo and reads:

Occasionally, we get to spend the day with just one of the grandchildren. Today was your day, Helen Grace. You and I ran a few errands and then we went to Walmart to pick up a couple of things. That “couple of things” cost me about $80…and we when we left, I had purchased 3 new hula hoops (because you showed me “how” to hula hoop while sitting in the shopping cart!), a princess tea set (because we don’t have one at Grandma’s house), and two small race cars (because you insisted that we get something for the boys!) Then as we passed the clothes, I saw this cute little dress, and you looked at me with those big beautiful eyes and said, “Grandma…it’s so PRETTY! Can I have it?” You asked so sweetly, I just couldn’t refuse you (and I really liked the dress too!) Right now, when I can get you a dress for $5, it’s easy to say yes…but in a few years when you want designer things…you’ll need to ask your Mama.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! :D
