Photos of my oldest DD when she was about 6 weeks old (1975). I used My Mind's Eye - Lush (pink) papers for this layout. The background piece is an off white cardstock. I punched the edges with a MS border and corner punch. (and it is the background. I just took a photo of the layout on a black background because I couldn't figure out how to get just the punched edges to show!) The pprs were cut to fit the solid center of the punched cardstock. Title letters were cut with Quikutz - Fiesta alphas. I stitched the edges of the polka dotted piece and edged it with the soft white. Photos are mounted on off white. The houndstooth print was distressed and inked with a soft brown. The poodle was cut with the Silhouette and then I highlighted the edges with a grey Copics and colored his feet black, added a black pearl eye, colored his nose and finally added a "jewel" collar. Flowers are Prima that I added teal bling to the centers. The scalloped edge across the bottom is layers -- two different scallop punches, a little inking, and then a bit of bling. I adhered a ribbon and bow across the border. Journaling is tucked behind the photos with the scalloped and bling pull and reads:

Teddy Bear was a silver, toy poodle that we got about a year before you were born. He only weighed about 1.5 pounds when we got him, and he was our “baby” for that year. During that year, he became one spoiled puppy! When you were born in February 1975, Teddy Bear didn’t know what to think. Suddenly, he wasn’t the “baby” anymore and you were getting a lot more attention than he was. He was definitely jealous of you. He would follow us from room to room and if we put your carrier seat on the couch, he’d jump up right next to you. He worked so hard trying to get as much attention as you did. You were about 6 weeks old in these photos. We put your afghan (that Grandma made for you) over the chair and positioned you in the chair so we could take your picture. Every time we would get ready to take the picture, Teddy Bear would jump up next to you and then turn and look at the camera. He was so cute; we finally just took the photo with him in it too. Photos – Traci - March 1975
