This is my favorite......how clever you are!!!! She will treasure this when she is older and wiser......I am sure of it!!!!! Beautiful page and I love this paper too!
OK...now you are getting me all emotional..how precious and tender. I know she must treasure the way you did this and what you wrote! But Holly, I still can't see the FROG! LOL! Even when I make it real big! (?) Are you teasing us?
Holly - this amazing. Both the LO and what and how you journaled to your DD. I love love love the fairytale theme! Your words are beautiful. The idea that as long as she shall live seeing a frog will remind her of your love is just wonderful. Those words will mean so much to her forever and ever.
Great LO as always!
OH< HOLLY!! I am soooooo going to lift this idea for my DGD who is 11, and beginning to feel totally unloved and unlovely........ I have 2 of these OUAT paper stacks cause I love those papers so much!!!.....and this will be a perfect use for one more sheet of it! Beautiful work....and beautiful girl, too!!!
That is a wonderul bit of journaling......and so heat-felt. I am misty eyed just reading it.....it could so be anyones girl child at this age.....just beautiful!!!! (But......I cannot find the frog)>
This is a simple LO of my youngest DD Hannah (17) on prom night with her DBF,,,,,I wanted it simple, because I wanted it to be about the journaling,,,,she's at the age where she doesn't think anyone loves her, and so I wanted the journaling to address that.
Journaling reads:
Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess; one of the most beautiful in all the kingdom. The only problem the princess had was she sometimes felt unloved by the king and queen of thekingdom, for alas, being royal was no guarntor of not being a normal teenager with normal worries and normal woes! So one day, the Queen sat down to write all the things she loved about the princess and she wrote it in very difficult to see handwriting, so that someday the princess, who wouldn't listen now, would see it, and know! She wrote how beautiful a person the princess was, inside where it matters, how kind and loving, how generous, how giving and gifted. Then she hid a secret frog upon the page, as a sign to her royal daughter. As long as her daughter shall live, whenever the princess shall see a frog, any frog at all, even long after the Queen is dead, it is a sign of her mother's love. (and yes, there's a frog on the page,,,he's in the big O in the word ONCE at the top of the page)
