I'm so glad you are still standing!! Thank you for sharing such a personal and TOUCHING layout! I have been wanting to scrap some of my past hardships, and you just gave me the inspiration to finally do it! Stay healthy and strong, and may God Bless you and your children!!
WOW! What a raw , personal LO Laurie. This is awesome LO...love the journaling and the torn wedding announcement speaks volumes! Thank you so much for sharing something so personal.
This is really touching. Thanks for sharing such a personal and wonderfully strong LO! you did a WONDERFUL JOB on this, marrying the documents and the picture and the title..it really makes the statement!
This probably the most touching lo I have ever seen! I'm glad you're "still standing". Thanks for sharing this wonderful lo. If I could have voted twice, I would have! For every category.
Wow this is amazing!! I love all the "real stuff" that you used on this page! Really makes it come alive - what a challenge to put so much of life on here - the good and the bad! Way to go :)
Well, Laurie, I am so very impressed that you shared this about yourself. I really admire that. This is the stuff of greatness in scrapbookers...putting it all out there on a page....reflecting and sharing. I can only imagine how challenging it was to create this powerful and moving layout. I'm so glad you did.
This LO is amazing! I hate to say that I like the torn photo in the background, but I like the statement you are making with it and the wonderful distressing. Just beautiful.
you are so very creative with the way you have incorporated all these challenges you have had to face in this fabulous layout. a very strong & powerful layout...love it!!!!
I love how you used all your personal documents for your background papers. This is one of the most meaningful layouts I have ever seen. It's so hard to document the tough times, but you did a wonderful job. Absolutely stunning.
I can really see that this LO will be a reminder to you of all you have overcome, how strong you are, what an awesome example you are to your girls! Love the way you used so many scanned items, very significant but very artistic too!! Great job on this!
challenges make us grow stronger (and wiser) - and you have obviously grown. i am so happy for you that those trying times are behind you. this is a wonderful lo, the title is perfect - so brave of you to scrap such a difficult time in your life.
For the March lyric challenge - whew! this was kind of a tough one. I have been thinking about this LO for quite awhile now, and finally decided to give it a shot. The challenge was the perfect catalyst - I used Elton John's song "I'm still Standing" as my theme. Sept 2000-Sept 2001 was a very difficult year for me, with lots of uncertainty, heartbreak and troubles to surmount. I used mostly printouts of things I scanned -med reports, wedding announcement, map etc. TFL!
