Mom & Dad's Engagement - 2

Page 2: Our first rest stop of backpacking trip: 1.5 miles in and up.

Early 1980, my parents went on a backpacking trip, where my dad proposed. My dad took TONS of photos, and my mom put them in an album and journaled just about EVERY picture (thank you, MOM)! Water got to the album and ruined a bunch of the journaling. So I'm deciphering it all and making this album as an anniversary gift. All titles and journaling are my mom's!

(This is one of my favorite pages because I was able to put a flower at the end of the stem in the paper! Man, I got giddy when I saw I could do that! I'm a dork. :p )

Keeping it clean and simple with little embellishments (they feel naked to me... LOL), but that's my dad's style so that's what I'm going for. :)
