"uglies"??? REALLY? I would never have suspected if I hadn't read the description. What a fabulous creative lo - capturing the feel of the desert thru your design, colors and techniques.
I'm not normally a fan of so much yellow, but it really works with this LO. Very attractive. I like the photos on the edges and the paper you used to mat the photos with. The lizard is really cute and the paper you used is perfect for him.
What a stunning tribute to your state. We will be going through New Mexico later this year. We have family in Farmington and I will definitely make them show me that lake. Your background is incredible.
Just a small scenic tour of my state. The lake is Navajo Lake outside of Farmington, the abandoned cabin is in the historic gold mining town of Mogollon, the train is the narrow gauge Cumbres and Toltec railroad out of Chama, and the adobe church is an Apache Catholic church just west of the town of Mescalero.
Created for the Ugly Papers and What is Next challenge. It was inspired by the snakeskin paper sent to me by Marcilb as one of my uglies. It will also be entered in the 2016 Volume, Travel, AGC, Silhouette, RAK and Use Your Stamps challenges.
