Cindy, I don't know how I missed this-I haven't been getting on here as much as I'd like lately! Love the sentiment and the way you did that edge with the ribbons, beads etc! Great combination of colours and patterns :)
Oh my gosh Cindy, this turned out so awesome! I love every detail on this. Aside from the photo being the first thing I saw (which brought back one of my favorite memories ever) I was drawn to how you ried the ribbon through the embroidery threads. That looks so cute! And I love the distressed pp's and you did a fabulous job w/ the layering. I love the bling and mix of your fonts in the title! Everything is almost as sparkly and fun as the memory of that day. Nothing beats being together, but you really did a remarkable job on this LO! XOXO!
This is my second completed layout from my Seattle trip I made in July 2012 to meet my soul sissy (Lauri D) whom I met on scrapjazz.com. The papers I used came from different paper packs and I'm very pleased at the result. I added some sewn sequence. I also stitched around the sides and tied matching ribbon and embroidery thread randomly thru the stitches. The small letters were from a Studio G alpha stamp set. The larger letters are from Cricut.
The sentiment reads: "A Friend is someone who reaches for your hand and Touches your Heart." I felt this was so appropriate in how Lauri has truly impacted my life since we met. The "selfie" was taken atop the Space Needle overlooking Seattle and Elliot Bay. It was truly an beautiful day to share with a beautiful friend!
