I love this page, the idea of an Easter Tree is so nice, what a lovely family tradition. I think I will have to make one of those this year - Thank you for the idea !! Gaynor :)
I love the vintage feel of this LO, the old fashioned post cards are fabulous, if you are looking for alternatives for lettering, I know a lot of people use rub-ons and stickers, alternatively there are stamps and of course you could always print your titles etc out onto your chosen paper/cardstock using your computer and printer, also there are some fabulous alphabets for the sizzix if you can get your hands on one,I tend to do a lot of mine by hand, it's just my style but can be a little tricky, hope this helps, TFS :)
Oh Sue, this is absolutely gorgeous! I love old postcards and if I'm not mistaken, that's one at the bottom there. Love your Easter tree, too. As far as lettering for titles, you could try printing something in an antique looking font or calligraphy on cardstock and use it (I also don't have much to choose from so that's what I end up doing quite often). But I think this looks beautiful as is!
Sue, this is a beautiful page! I love the "heirloom" feel, with the old postcards and the picture of your Easter Tree is wonderful! What a very special family tradition! Thanks so much for sharing!!
Sue, this is so lovely. The lighting and coloring on it just blow me away. And of course I love your Easter tree which I'm planning to try next year. This is so beautiful.
I love this layout!!! It is perfectly old traditional looking. If that makes sense. I really didn't know that it was a tradition, but it really is neat! The tree is lovely especially with the daffodils and I love the antique pieces that you added. Letters for titles are my problem too. I just make do!!! lol
For those of you who remember my Easter Tree Photo, this is the tree we had this year. Being a traditional thing we do each year I wanted to do an old fashioned lo, the one thing I am not to happy with is the lettering, I don't have much to choose from, what do you ladies do for titles.
Journaling is - FERNIE TRADITION
We picked up many traditions during Dads time in the Forces, the Easter Tree being one. This was in Celle Germany, Our first tree only had five colored eggs & we were so excited. Look at it now, everywhere we go I try to find a little to add, & Mum your first eggs we do still have and on odd occasions, they get an outing on the tree.
