The journaling is as follows:
For one and a half months, we took care of an orphaned fawn. Jack lived in our large dog pen and became one of the pack. The animals often played together and gave each other baths. Jack had no fear of us but was afraid of other people, which was good. When he started refusing bottles and eating food off the ground, it was time for him to go. I still miss his face at our back door and I think of him often. I hope saving his life set him up for a long healthy one!
