Beautiful layout, lovely tribute - great attention to detail, I really like the texture in all of it, stitching came out nice with that border trim, beautiful horse too!
OHMYGOSH, this photo of you is outstanding, Patty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE this picture. Your tender care and devotion shows on all the wonderful details you added....stitching, Stickles, hand cutting, punched edges....and such GREAT texture with the corrugated paper and felt. WOW. Just wow! This is exquisite work. favs. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Patty, this is one of my favorite favorites!!! I love love love it! That stitching on the scallops, those beautiful unusual flowers, the ric rac....beautiful! Fave! My daughter also had a horse called Diamond!! Seems like all "Diamonds" are forever!
My friend, you really have a knack for taking a moment in time and paying homage to someone that you love, and this lo captures that once again. It's truly beautiful and I can't seem to stop roaming all over the page to take it all in. Diamond was lucky to have someone like you in his life who clearly loved him as much as he clearly deserved to be loved!
Patty! I am so glad you did a lo of Diamond. A beautiful horse for sure. LOL I remember we would climb a tree so we could get on his back and go riding! Also, bareback and let him cut loose in an open field. I know you miss Diamond and a perfect lo this is...so young and vibrant and I love the FLOWERS which I am sure you made!!! Love ya - Ginger This so warmed my heart!!!
Love the way you compared a saddle to pantyhose! You are too funny! This is so stunning! Love the fresh spring green with the pink. So many beautiful details, all masterfully combined! Into my faves!
I wanted to create a youthful feeling with this LO, so I chose Sultry by BG. Border punched and stitched the edges, then matted all pieces using pinking shears. Added the ric-rac. Made the flowers and hearts using felt, pp, embroidery thread, corrugated paper, buttons, fabric and Stickles. The vine was hand drawn on the BG pp, then cut out and outlined.
A WHOLE LOT OF LOVE went into this LO. This photo is my favorite of my beloved Diamond. He was a delight to ride and own. I almost always rode him bareback because he never did like a saddle. Can't say that I blame him, because I hate to wear panythose!....so, I can relate to that! Diamond was my first love....from the time I was 11 until I went away to college. I was sixteen in this photo.
