This is a project for my younger daughter, who asked if I could create her a project. She had this glimmer of a thing to help her get herself organized - like a calendar that isn't a calendar, but more of a weekly organizer that's a piece of art and she can put her post-it-notes reminders and help her keep track of her to-do list and recycle the bases as she completes them and, "I-dunno, like tags or something…?"

I said, "you mean like a command board?"

"What's a command board?"

Ok, so yes, I can do that for her. I explained what one was and how it worked and she said, "That's EXACTLY what I'm thinking of...." I helped her flesh out the idea, and once we had a solid concept, we went shopping and she picked out a paper line (Prima - because she IS her momma's daughter after all.)

This is the front side of the tags. I think they're pretty, but they're all relatively simple and I tried hard to keep them flat and clear in a big area so that she has room for her post-it-notes. I used up a lot of hoarded stash bits and leftover pieces to get them completed. And since they're double sided, there are actually 42 faces, so she has lots of artistic choices.

I did the math, actually, because I'm always interested in things like that. She has a possible

107,145,471,557,285,000,0 00,000,000

combination of choices for displaying these tags. I don't think she'll manage to get that done in her entire lifetime.

It's been a long project, but she picked it up today. Not until after I photographed it, of course. 21 tags, enough for three weeks of tracking her to-do lists.
