You're probably too young to remember the "Sunshine Family" dolls..... They are about the same size as these dolls, but with a lot less attitude. They were popular in the late 70's. I think they were developed in protest to the Barbie doll. They were smaller, less defined physically, and an attempt to keep our children from growing up too fast. I wish that they still made them.

I don't get the attraction but boy do they sell! someone told me the large head and eyes are what sells them, a relational thingee. Hmmmmm They do have cute clothes.
