Cool - when will you be putting it up? We typically put ours up the first Friday in December, but not sure if we're doing one this year or not. The family is gathering at DD & DSIL's place for Christmas (for the first time), so with just DH and me here, we might not get into the decorating this time.
Sorry to ramble on so, Krista!
Fun shot - TFS :)

Are you trying to muscle this down the stair by yourself? You better be careful. We don't want a note from your family saying you are laying in a hospital somewhere with all your bones broken. Hey, wait a minute. Upon closer inspection, I think you muscled that box all the way from MY house.
Yikes! That's dangerous! I have a fake one, too - and LOVE it! We did a real tree for years, but it was dumb because we're all allergic! And it always died before Christmas so we were afraid to light it up - my fake one is just perfect!
No fake trees here! We get live one for now as we need trees in our yard! When we have all those holes filled then we will cut one. I am thinking of getting two trees this year.
Yep. Mine is in the storage room shoved way, way in the back. I think this year I'm settling for a little table top tre (for the floor tho) for te cats. I just have to find safe ornaments that i won't mind picking up off the floor everyday.
Yep mine is up in the attic too!! But we won't be decorating until after the 3rd December!! It's a bit of a tradition now!! When Chloe was younger she would invite her whole class to her birthday party (25 - 30 kids) which I put on in our house, I thought no way am I having my tree getting wrecked along with all our decorations, so we always wait until Chloe has her party, even though she hasn't had a house birthday party for about 4 years!!!
I too have mine in a box. I grew up with fresh trees every year but my DH grew up with no trees, just a big Nativity display. So the artificial tree is our compromise.
Having grown up in a house with a Christmas tree I'm familiar with this wrestling act! My grandmother kept the tree in the atic and it was my job to climb those rickety stairs and wrestle it through the little hole and down the stairs... until one year we all nearly got squashed by an unruly tree and I convinced her it should live in the basement hence forth. Not that hauling it UP the basement steps was easy - but it was less life threatening. At the end of the season it wasn't a big deal to tie the thing shut and slide it headlong down the stairs, land where it may :)
