SHCG: So much to love here, Jess! I really notice that your layouts are becoming more and more layered and I love the look it creates. These pictures are so adorable and I love the sentiment of u + me. Perfect. Also, I am absolutely digging the felt tail onthe bird. I think it looks better than the stamp would have. It rocks! The labelmaker provides a nice contrast with the bright playful colors! I'd love to see a little journaling. I was even thinking with a fine-tip sharpie creating a thin line around the border of the layout or in the letters to make them a little funkier. This is so fabulous and I love everything about it!
SHCG: Jessica this is a really fun page. I love the distressed papers and that cute little bird stamp. I like the angle of the blue frame, but it does kind of jump out at me a lot because it is so "clean" and everythign else is distressed looking. Could you maybe ink the edges or rough it up a little bit?
SHCG: I see a trend happening :) I love how you layered the different shapes. The combining of the photos into one block is a great technique. The colors are really nice. Great job!
SHCG: Love your use of the label maker. I'd add some journaling (other than the date) about the photos or what was going on in your lives at this time.
SHCG: You are really becoming a layering queen! I am trying so hard to do it, but am not successful so kudos to you! I especially love the circles at the top right corner. They take the layering to a whole different level. This just looks fabulous!
Hi Jen! WOW! I love what you are doing with these angled frames!! SO COOL! This layout is just VERY WELL DONE in every aspect! It's completely balanced and I love your chunky title! Only suggestion is that next time you paint chipboard, after distressing, try coating it with some matte finish mod podge. It will have just a hint of shine (won't take away from the distressed effect) but it will have a more polished/finished look. You might want to try "say it in crystal" swirls by Prima. Seems like that's something you would enjoy using on your pages. HUGS TO YOU!!
SHCG: Love the angled photo below the frame and all the colors going on here. You've been rockin' the felt lately! The only thing I would change is to maybe distress some of the edges on papers and maybe the title letters, inking or sanding..would tie in with the bacground a bit more. Love the colors on here
SHCG: Wow Jess i dont know what i like better, the colours or the angeled photo with the straight frame. The title looks great in the corner like that too but i cant offer any critique as i wouldn't change a thing.
SHCG - You two are friggin adorable. I love the colors, the pretty & fun layered pp is gathered like that under the pic, love the angled placement of the mattes & photos, rounded corners, doodled outline, embellies & lace peeking out. You dealt w/ the bird's tail very nicely! I could visualize some inking around the photos but you know me, I'm ink-addicted. This works nicely as is - terrific 'n sweet page!
SHCG: I do love all of the little details in this LO. The pp's, the crooked frame, the date & the birdy all make a eye pleasing picture. The only thing I would try is maybe inking around the edges of your letters. one way i've done that before is by using a q-tip, otherwise, LOVE this!
SHCG: This page is very sweet. I love so many things about it: the colors, the various patterns, the bg pp, the layering, the photo placement set askew and framed, the lacy touch... I love how you cut around the circles pp on two sides and left one side straight. I especially love the individual circles that you cut out and placed in the upper right. And, what a great improvisation you made with that bird's tail! There are two things I'd like to see. I like the date strips, but I kinda wish they were white with black lettering instead. I can also see the title chippies a little more distressed like your bg pp.
I had the top picture of us for a while and have been wanting to scrap it, and took the bottom one the other day. SO just a fun page of us. The bird really did have a tail with the stamp, but while cutting it out I accidentally cut it off. So I improvised with some felt ribbon. lol. Chipboard title is inked, just a little hard to see in the picture.
