These are some cards that I make frequently for weddings, birthdays, thank you cards, etc. They are decidedly feminine as you can see. I start out with my favorite rose printed papers, then use a stencil to mark the rose design in the center and cut out the elements. Sometimes if the card front has a pretty rose in the corner I will just stencil and cut out the leaf design around the rose like in the card on the left hand side. Then I back with mulberry or handmade paper, occasionally vellum, and I ink it like crazy! I then take a metallic pen and make outlines, and all kinds of wiggly outlines around petals and leaves. I usually ink the edges in a sage green and the roses in pink, or dark rose. These turn out great, they can be a little labor intensive, but well worth it!!
