Wow. You made 40?? I'm amazed. That is some serious work. I love the journaling you did here. I really like the whole design on the LO. It is, as usual, very creative.
This is the witch hat I made for my dad's 65th b-day party. I actually made about 40. Since I sewed them, I thought this would be a good time to try some stitching. Not to crazy about the sewing machine stitching, I think I prefer the hand stitching on the 2nd page. Used a little stamping and ink. The journaling is a goofy poem of the process I did to make the hats.
I found this pattern on Ebay, much to Ed's dismay! I started to cut and Shanley had to sew a bit, then the stuffing took place and Barret took a shift. We had to sew the stuffing hole, and the next step was paint, as black as they would go. Into the oven to bake, who knows how long they'll take! Out they come and just scrunch a bunch. Now, the antiquing with coffee and cinnamon, Oh, how they smell! Back into the oven, Take 'em out when you hear the bell. Let's sand off the dust and turn it to rust. Let's add some rusted pins and a tag. They're ready to go into the bag! Well, they're painted, baked and fancied, I guess they're done! I feel like I made a hunded and one! Let's get that bag tied, I need a drink, I'll buy!
