Love what you've done! I'm in the dining room too, I hope I can get everyone convinced we don't need a dining room a much as I need a scraproom :0) Great job!
Ha! Ha! You and Kitty stealing the dining rooms for scrapping! We don't have a dining room that I can take. :( Dang open floor plan! But I do have half of the back bedroom.
I love that style of shelving. I love to have options for rearranging whenever I feel like it. You have a beautiful, serene, organized space!
Oh gosh, this is awesome! You'll be scrappin' up a storm! I absolutely love it! I love the Oak Express cabinet - glass and all! (And for the record, when we were house-hunting, I really had my eye on dining rooms that would make good scrap rooms - which is exactly where my scrap room is now.) :-)
awesome!!!! I love it. I really like the little table top shelf ( when I am loking at the photo) to the left of the paper storage shelf, the one on Oprah!! I like that little shelf. I think you have pens??in it!! anyway, this is so amazing....you must be so happy!!!! yea!! I am a stander too! or er...was, hehehe. and i love the circular box with the flower!!! and that little wooden easle!!! I love how personalized it is. It will just be such a zen place to scrap! who needs a dining room...Bah!!
My new scrap space! HOORAH! Well, this is 1/3 of it. The main wall though. :) Who needs a dining room, right?! ;) We just moved our kitchen table into the living room. LOL.
Shelving is the Elfa shelving system from The Container Store. I still need to add one shelf to the right, but I couldn't wait to upload pictures! :)
My work space is about 40" high because I'm a standing scrapper. This saves lots of room because I was able to place my two cabinets underneath. :)
The cabinet on the left was actually a twin headboard in its old life. My sister and my dad added balcony spindles on the ends and then painted it. She used it as an entertainment center or something, until she moved and couldn't take it with her. So I got it! YAY! I added new drawer pulls from Lowe's, so I was able to utilize the little sliding doors on the top shelf.
The right cabinet underneath the work-space is from Oak Express (a furniture store chain). It was WAY more than I wanted to spend for a cabinet like this, but I FELL IN LOVE with it and didn't think twice. The doors slide to the left and right to open. Holds my Cropper Hopper Vertical Storage systems (all 19 of them...LOL) for my paper, plus a few other odds and ends. I'll probably cover the inside of the glass with paper or fabric though because I don't like seeing into it.
