This is my dgd, Ashley Elizabeth, at about one year of age. Her first Christmas with us. She managed to get the dog's bone and was so proud of herself. At that time we had a very gentle German Shepard who loved the family, and we loved her. We had to have her put down because her hips gave out and haven't had a dog since. Broke our hearts. The doggie pictured was my son, Tony's dog, Gabby, who recently passed away at about 16. I have always loved this picture of Ashley...just didn't know what to do with it!
