They say we have a tendency to say away from making layouts of our least favorite colors. Well yellow is mine, but I now see how awesome it can look when done right! good job
What a great story! You should include all of it on the layout somewhere! Such a pretty page, too! Love the colors and all the pretty swirls - what border punch is that????? I think I saw it on another one of your layouts - just beautiful!
Loved reading the description. My adopted newborn is mixed. Should I buy this for him? This is an issue I never considered!!! Beautiful page. The flowers and flourishes are stunning.
WOW!!! What a totally beautiful and informative page you have here!!! Love the paper layering with the punched edges!!! (LOVE that punch too) And the inking is great and the story is GREAT too!!!
As a curly-haired girl, I truly love your LO. My hair can be my crowning glory or my crown of tangled thorns on any given day. I have discovered Ouidad though. I abolutely love their Climate Control gel. I'll give yours a try though. It sounds worth it and please - google Ouidad. You may be glad you did!
I love the story behind this page. I feel the same way about jeans. I'm tall and lean but I have a big ole butt and I can never find jeans for my body type. My crack is always peeking out of the tops of my jeans. Luckily I just found an amazing pair so wonderful that I could create a page just for them too!
This is really beautiful.....and boy they could use you to sell the product......I am glad you finally found something that works for you....The page and your hair are gorgeous. It's a great story and what a clever idea!!!!
First of all, let me say this lo is absolutely beautiful! And I have to tell you, it's never occurred to me that hair care products would be an issue! (probably mostly because I am a cheapskate when it comes to shampoo and conditioner, and buy the giant bottle of cheap stuff at BJ's, lol).
Very interesting...would make a nice ad. I will have to recommend this product for my friend's dd. The layout is wonderful..love the design and colors.
Although I am not mixed, I have had extremely curly hair to deal with in my life...and my high school years the style was beehives...can you imagine a curly beehive? So I appreciate why you would memorialize a hair product that helps out here. Beautiful lo, as all of yours are!
Wow, this could be an ad for their products, and you should get some for free!!! This is so creative, love all details! Congrats on no more 'hair crack conditioner' in your kitchen!!!!
Wow..this is something else!!! You should get a kick back from the company or at least some free product!! Love how you told the story and I really Love the design of the lo!! Great job and I'm totally happy for you for finding hair product you can live with!!!
Awesome LO!! I have always had a problem with my hair too (frizzy and snarly), and when I found my miracle product, I was also elated!!!! I agree with another poster that the company should use this as their ad, so pretty~
THANK YOU for the product information!! I have natural curly hair and it can be a hot mess!! I love learning about products that will help me live with it....especially with all the hormonal changes after a certain age! Great info, PLUS a beautiful layout and a possible print ad for the company! Love it!
Your layout is fabulous and your story just made my night... always nice to have a little chuckle before bedtime. I am also going to look for this product for my sweet daughter who has naturally curly hair.
Yes there is a story behind this photo. During my life, my hair has been such an issue-curls and more curls. My hair is long and thick, and for years I have struggled finding a shampoo and conditioner that would work with my hair. For anyone who is mixed you know the story-just about every other week I would spend a couple hours in the kitchen creating "Hair Crack Conditioner". What is "Hair Crack Conditioner?" Well, it is a combination of black and white hair products mixed together- yes, there are only certain brand products-in the ingredients. I start with two big mixing bowls, an old mixer, 2-3 big empty bottles and a funnel. This creates a big mess and is a long process that I dreaded every other week. Well anyway...... One day I happen to bump into a "mixed" friend of mine, who I had not seen for sometime. When I gave her a hug, her hair brushed past my face and her hair was soft and had just the right amount of conditioning. When I stepped back, I noticed her hair looked great. I asked her about her hair and she told me that she started using "Mixed Chicks" hair products. Living in the mid-west, trying to find this product is difficult. So, I started searching the internet and I found it. The first day I used the product, I had several people comment on my hair. The product is perfect- it is a curl-defining system designed for "us." whether you're black, white, asian, latin, mediterranean, or any glorious combination of the above, you'll love the way these non-sticky, lightweight, products leave your hair inviting to touch as they define and lock moisture into every curl. Well, I am no longer making "Hair Crack Conditioner" in my kitchen!
The journaling: on the layout Mixed Chicks-"tired of defining your race instead of your curls?" This a slogan of their company-and it is so true for me. Love this product. This LO is inspired by Beggahuna sketch(09-Jun-09) 030609
