i still had some pictures printed from when i did another little ashes page, so i figured it needed a companion. the painting that inspired the title of the movie, cenicitas (little cinders or more commonly translated as little ashes) is picture on the right. the photo below is an actual image of federico garcía lorca and salvador dalí on the beach in cadaqués on the coast of spain. the images on the left are javiar beltran as lorca and robert pattinson as dalí in the movie little ashes (probably my favorite indie film of all time). the journaling is from a letter lorca wrote to dalí "remember me when you are at the beach and above all when you paint crackling things and little ashes. Oh my little ashes! Put my name in the picture so that my name will serve for something in the world."

i painted, chalked and inked the background paper from a plain blue, layered the paper, sewed and glued on ribbon and fabric, used the que sera sera dimensional stickers over the painted chipboard and added all the brads. this one was a lot of fun to make!
