I used this week's sketch at http://sketchinspiration.ning.com/ And I did this for Estee's week long challenge, not using people as the subject in the photos. This is Punalu'u - a black sand beach on Hawaii's big island. The first photo is a sign on the beach that I had to snap a picture of - the top one says "Removal of sand prohibited" - seriously, it's against the law, and still we saw people at the airport with bottles of sand. The second one is supposed to be a No Litter sign, but the red circle the the slash through "Litter" faded, so it just says Litter. The bottom two are the same, first in English and the second in Japanese (tour busses shuttle Japanese tourists here), and they talk about the Hawaiian Sea Turtles, and also that it's against the law to touch them in any way (it's a hefty fine). OH, and we saw some beautiful, huge sea turtles basking on the black sand that day (I think we saw turtles everyday this vacation...one even swam next to me one day!). The second picture is showing the black sand beach and pretty trees in the background.
