Another stop on our way to Yellowstone. Fell in love with this beautiful city. Based on an April 2010 PageMaps sketch. All the embellishments are cut using a Cricut.

Journaling: We got to Sioux Falls early enough to explore the city. Located on the Sioux River, it is named for the waterfalls on the river. The falls are not high but they are beautiful as they cascade over tiers of rocks. The park grounds were pleasant with plenty of walks and overlooks. At one time the falls provided power for a flour mill and some buildings from that rime remain. On the way to Falls Park, we saw a large grassy area where a flock of Canadian geese was feeding. Walkways led back to them and they calmly sauntered about as we photographed them. We left early the next morning but certainly enjoyed our brief stay in Sioux Falls, SD. 09-03-10
